DAY 2 – WEDNESDAY, JULY 15, 2026

Sightseeing:

  • The White House – The official residence and workplace of the President of the United States, a symbol of American power and democracy.
  • Visit inside the Capitol – the headquarters of the United States Congress. The group is allowed inside the Capitol – the workplace of the US Senate and House of Representatives, the center of national legislative power. If there are no major events (such as welcoming the President, closed sessions…), you can directly observe the hearings taking place from the visitor area.
  • Washington Monument – ​​A giant marble pen, 169m high, honoring President George Washington. When completed (1884), this was the tallest structure in the world until the Eiffel Tower appeared.

Morning visit:

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center Air & Space Museum. The museum was chosen as the main setting in the blockbuster movie Transformers 2 (2009) – the “transformation” of one of the ancient robots. Here, you can see with your own eyes:

  • The supersonic Concorde
  • The Enola Gay bomber – which dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima
  • The Discovery space shuttle – which made 39 space flights

Leaving Washington D.C, heading to the peaceful countryside of Lancaster – Pennsylvania

  • Lancaster is known as “the place where time stops”, the homeland of the Amish community – where no electricity is used, no TV is watched, no cars are used – the main means of transport are horse-drawn buggies and farm tools pulled by humans or horses.
